IAMI Kick-off Meeting

February 6, 2025 IAMI Project Kick-off Meeting Held in Prague The Kick-off Meeting (KoM) of the IAMI Project took place on February 4–5, 2025, at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. All members of the IAMI Project Consortium gathered in person to formally launch the project and coordinate the first steps of their joint research activities. The IAMI Project aims to address critical challenges in the field of entity identification and resolution, particularly in the contexts of security, intelligence, and investigation. Existing identification techniques face several limitations, including issues related to scalability, precision, and adaptability. Through the use of advanced AI-powered software, the IAMI Project proposes a revolutionary approach to overcoming these obstacles, offering a visionary solution for the complex task of entity resolution. The IAMI Consortium is composed of a diverse group of institutions and organizations across Europe, including: Hochschule für den öffentlichen Dienst in Bayern, IDEMIA, NEC Laboratories Europe, Fondazione Bruno Kessler – FBK, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), LibereU, The National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police, Institute of Information Theory and Automation of the CAS (public research institution), Ayuntamiento de Murcia, INSPECTORATUL GENERAL AL POLITIEI, Cyprus Police, KOMENDA WOJEWÓDZKA POLICJI W KIELCACH, Privanova, Ministerio del Interior, Sisäministeriö – Inrikesministeriet – Ministry of the Interior, Finland, Center for Security Studies (KEMEA), AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, INSTITUTUL NAȚIONAL DE CERCETARE-DEZVOLTARE ÎN INFORMATICĂ – ICI BUCUREȘTI, and Sheffield Hallam University. The consortium looks forward to continued collaboration and progress in this important research initiative, which supports the development of next-generation tools for European law enforcement and security organizations.
